Types of membership
The Articles of Association define the conditions and types of membership in Article 6 as follows:
- Any male or female citizen who is in the senior category of government civil servants, whether active or retired, and their equivalents in the private sector in the category of board chairmen, active and retired directors, presidents of the Courts of Cassation, Appeal and Supreme Justice, and judges of the Courts of Cassation and Appeal, shall be entitled to join the Association as an active member, provided they possess the following conditions:
- The age is over (30)) of his age(Note: It may be agreed that the applicant must be more than 18 years of age, but in any case must not be less than 18 years of age.)
- Must be fully competent.
- Work to serve the objectives of the association and contribute to the implementation of its work and activities.
- Approve the organization’s statutes in writing*.
- He must have paid the affiliation fee and the resulting contributions.
- Applications for affiliation are submitted according to the form prepared by the governing body, which decides whether to accept or reject the application. The applicant has the right to appeal the rejection decision to the competent minister within thirty days from the date of notification of the decision. After verification, the competent minister may take whatever action he deems appropriate, and his decision in this regard shall be final.
- The Board of Directors may admit Honorary Members to the Association for the period it deems appropriate according to the principles it decides. However, none of these members are entitled to participate in the meetings of the General Assembly or the Board of Directors, vote on its decisions, or hold administrative positions in the association.
- Subject to the provisions of this Law, legal persons may become members of the Association in accordance with the principles decided by the Board of Directors.
Article 7 of the Articles of Association also specifies the affiliation and annual subscription fees as follows:
- An affiliation fee of (5) Dinars Jordanian Dinars, payable only once upon joining the membership of the association.
- The annual subscription fee for a member is set at (30) dinarsto be paid in advance annually or in monthly installments upon the member’s request and with the approval of the Board of Directors. In all cases, the full annual subscription must be paid at least one month before the end of the association’s fiscal year.
- If a member joins the association during the financial year, he/she shall only pay the subscription due for the remainder of the year*.
Application for admission
Anyone who wishes to subscribe to the association must fill out a special form prepared for this purpose, where the membership committee studies the request and recommends it to the board of directors to take the appropriate decision.
